Named Scholarships

An annual contribution of $5,000 or more to 10,000 Degrees Opportunity Fund is sufficient to establish a Named Scholarship. For many donors, a Named Scholarship helps carry on the legacy of a significant family member, mentor, colleague or friend, while making a significant and life-changing contribution to a 10,000 Degrees student.

Recipients are chosen from the large annual pool of applicants to 10,000 Degrees’ Undergraduate scholarship program.

Donor Advised Scholarships

With a contribution of $10,000 or more annually a donor can establish his or her own scholarship, including the selection criteria.

The Laura Richardson Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Laura’s sister (Elizabeth Leeds) in memory of Laura, who died of breast cancer on March 8, 2009. Laura worked at West Marin School in Point Reyes for the past 18 years, and was a strong advocate for children. Laura has three children. Make a donation to the Laura Richardson Memorial Scholarship.
