“Money Matters” Workshops

Each summer, 10,000 Degrees hosts hundreds of local high school students to help prepare them for the exciting and challenging path to and through college. In the summer of 2017, we enjoyed several productive partnerships through which corporate volunteers participated in unique training opportunities for 10,000 Degrees students.

Two such partners included financial services companies Goldman Sachs and Loomis, Sayles, each of which provided volunteers for our interactive “Money Matters: Budgeting for College” workshops. Volunteers worked directly with our students acting as bank tellers, electronics salespeople, grocery store cashiers, and other roles to help them navigate the complexities of real-world financial planning.

Thank you Goldman Sachs and Loomis, Sayles! Together, we are helping more students realize their college dreams!

10,000 Degrees proudly announces the Hiring for Good Partnership with Entelo, a software-based recruiting company supporting the tech industry. Together, 10,000 Degrees and Entelo will engage in programming to help our students explore career opportunities that correspond with their individual passions. Programs include “Your Career Starts Here” workshops and one-on-one mentoring as well as specific financial support.
