Stock Gifts
10,000 Degrees welcomes gifts of publicly traded stocks, mutual funds and bonds. As with any gift to 10,000 Degrees, please consult your tax advisor for the tax benefits for your charitable contribution.
Stock Transfer Instructions
Please contact your broker with transfer instructions (below) and immediately notify our Development Department via the contact form at the bottom of this page. 10,000 Degrees will send an acknowledgment letter upon receipt.
If The Stock Is In A Brokerage Or Bank Trust Account
Instruct your broker/banker to transfer the gifted stock to 10,000 Degrees’ account at Merrill Lynch with the following information:
- Address of 10,000 Degrees’ broker: Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Inc.

If The Gift Is In The Form Of A Stock Certificate Registered In The Donor's Name
Ownership of the appropriate number of shares must be transferred to 10,000 Degrees and new certificate(s) issued. Please contact our Development Department, via the form at the bottom of this page for further instructions.
When Notifying 10,000 Degrees That A Stock Transfer Will Be Made, Please Provide The Following Information
- Name of security, number of shares, name of donor’s broker or bank, if applicable
- Your name, address, and telephone
- The purpose of your gift (e.g. Annual Fund, pledge payment, other)
