10,000 Degrees provides a comprehensive pipeline of programs and resources to help students access, enroll and successfully complete college. All of our programs serve students from low income households and many of our participants are the first in their family to enroll in college.

Programs include:

Alumni return to serve as mentors, staff, Board and ambassadors.

This innovative and successful pipeline of programs is generously funded by individuals, corporations, and foundations and provided in partnership with local schools and districts as well as local community based organizations.

College4Kids! Serves students in elementary and middle school with a lively introduction to a local college campus.

CollegeDayTours – These daylong exploration of Northern California colleges and universities serve high school students from throughout Marin.

10KD Institute and Yearlong Mentoring program (SAI) – This week long intensive dormitory experience and year long mentoring program serves rising high school juniors and seniors, with a 98% success rate for college enrollment.

Financial Aid Workshops – Provided throughout the county at school sites and in partnership with other youth serving organizations, these workshops provide an overview of the financial aid process and assistance with completing the required materials.

Scholarships are available to support students pursuing Undergradute studies and Professional & Technical Training. In addition, 10,000 Degrees administers a number of special scholarships.

Recipient Support seeks to assist scholarship recipients in their transition to college and throughout their career.

Fact: 100% of students who attended the 10KD Institute in 2010 went to college that fall.
