Additional 10,000 Degrees Scholarships
New Leader Scholarship
The following New Leader Scholarship is administered by 10,000 Degrees but requires an additional scholarship application. For more information visit http://www.newleaderscholarship.org.
Award: Up to $8,000
- Enrollment in one of the following Bay Area public universities: California State University, East Bay Campus; San Francisco State University; San Jose State University; Sonoma State University; or University of California at Berkeley
- Upper division student who has attended the school for one academic year or more, with 60 units or more, 24 of which were attained at the present university.
- Studying the social sciences, human services, public interest law, health-related fields, or public service
- A minimum 3.5 GPA either at the current school or at a combination of the current school plus all schools previously attended. Consideration will be given to students with a GPA of 3.2 - 3.49.
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units each in the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 semester.

When submitting a 10,000 Degrees Scholarship Application, you have the opportunity to apply for any scholarship we administer for which you are eligible. Please review the following information to determine for which scholarships you may be eligible.
Many of these scholarships require additional materials, such as high school transcripts, letters of recommendation, or resumes. You will be prompted to include these materials with your application, or you may mail them to 10,000 Degrees by March 2, 2012. Please read all requirements carefully, as incomplete applications cannot be considered.

- Graduating senior at a Marin or Sonoma County high school
- At least one parent of Asian or Pacific Islander descent
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
Building Better Teachers Scholarship
- Enrolled in early childhood education degree program (bachelor’s, master’s, or community college coursework with the intention of transferring)
- Intends to pursue a career with children zero to five years old
Carol Bartz Scholarship for Math, Science and Technology
- Graduating senior from a Marin County high school
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, technology, or math
Kiwanis Club Scholarship
- Outstanding commitment to community service
Kryzanowski Family Scholarship
- Graduating senior from Tamalpais High School or Ringgold High School
Marin Retired Teachers' Association Scholarship
- Enrolled in a program that leads to a teaching credential
- Graduate of a Marin County high school
Marin Retirement Communities Scholarship Fund
- Applicant, applicant’s parent(s), or applicant’s grandparent(s) have been employed at a Marin County retirement facility for at least one year
Mill Valley Rotary Scholarship
- Graduating senior from Tamalpais High School or Redwood High School
- Demonstrated commitment to community service
Mission San Rafael Rotary Scholarship
- Graduating senior from San Rafael High School
- Minimum GPA of 2.5
San Francisco Yacht Club Scholarship
- Applicant or applicant’s parent(s) have been employed at San Francisco Yacht Club for at least one year
