Have you thought about college? Are you ready to go to college? To help you prepare for the college and financial aid application process, 10,000 Degrees offers a program called the 10,000 Degrees Institute. To be eligible, you need to 1) be a current sophomore who will be a junior in Fall 2017 and 2) demonstrate financial need.

Being part of the 10,000 Degrees Institute means you will experience both the Summer Intensive college experience and the year-round program in your junior and senior years.

10,000 Degrees Institute Summer Intensive: A Four-Day College Experience

This year’s 10,000 Degrees Institute will begin with the 10,000 Degrees Institute Summer Intensive. It will be held from July 24 – July 27 or July 31 – August 3, 2017. Students will be placed at a local University. Students will stay 4 days and 3 nights in college dormitories.

10,000 Degrees Year-round Program

After you attend the 10,000 Degrees Institute Summer Intensive, you will be supported by a 10,000 Degrees college advisor to help guide you through the process of applying for college and financial aid. You will be expected to meet with your advisor on a regular basis throughout your junior and senior years. Your advisor will help you explore college choices, complete college applications, and meet deadlines for college and financial aid. You will be required to attend 10,000 Degrees workshops and events throughout the year.
