Building Self-Healing Communities

September 22, 2015 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

10,000 Degrees is co-hosting a seminar with Hanna Boys Center on September 22: a presentation by Dr. Robert Anda, co-principal investigator of The Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACE) on “Building Self-Healing Communities.” Here’s a brief summary:

“The ACE Study makes the case that childhood adversity, and the resulting toxic stress, is the most significant public health problem facing our country. As the number of ACEs increases so does the likelihood of many social, medical and mental health problems. An overview of these concepts and the latest implications for change in systems at the community level will be discussed.”

This event is open to all who are interested. It begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 and the seminar begins at 9 am.

RSVP to lpetersen@hannacenter.org or call 707.933.255 if you would like to attend.
