Are you interested in learning and practicing tangible, proven skills you can use to get the most of your student interactions?

Fostering a student-centered, inclusive, and positive college-going conversation with students and families takes time and practice. Throughout our 40-year history of facilitating college-going conversations throughout the Bay Area, 10,000 Degrees has developed a framework based on deep content expertise and counseling best practices that you can apply to your direct student work on your school campuses.

  • Learn and discuss what it means to be “student centered” and to have a “ecosystem” advising approach.
  • Learn clinical fundamental skills to foster engagement in your conversations with students through applying a strength based approach.
  • Get ideas on how to foster a safe and mindful environment for your students through the use of consistent inclusive language.
  • Practice your student facilitation skills through LIVE scenarios to put your learnings into practice.
