10,000 Degrees adult volunteers can assist students through our Academic Success tutoring program, at events to support our 10,000 Degrees College Access and College Support programming, and more. See below for ways to join our Impact Squad.

Academic Success Volunteers

The Academic Success program matches volunteer adult tutors with Marin County public school students in classrooms, homework centers, and community programs. (Marin County only).

Money Matters Workshop Volunteers

Money Matters, Your College and Career Financial Navigator workshops help students learn about college affordability and post-college budgeting. Volunteers engage with students in a fun, interactive tabling experience and get to see 10,000 Degrees Fellows and programming in action. No experience is required!

Career Mentors

The 10,000 Degrees Career Mentor Program facilitates mentoring relationships between current 10,000 Degrees students and alumni and professionals in the community. Career Mentors help emerging professionals explore career opportunities, become strong job applicants, expand their professional network, and achieve their career goals.

Corporate Volunteers

Corporate partners who share our goal of providing students from low-income backgrounds with greater access to career opportunities and resources can volunteer in multiple ways. Discover all the ways we work with our corporate partners.

College Tour Chaperones Needed for July 18

Help 10,000 Degrees rising juniors and seniors kick off their college tour on Saturday, July 18th! We need volunteers to accompany students to our Summit at SF State from various Bay Area bus pickup locations TBD.

As a volunteer, you will help distribute scholar snacks and materials, ride the bus with students, and share your own higher education journey during prompted conversations between sessions on campus. Volunteers will also help facilitate an interactive activity helping scholars explore their college lists; no preparation required. Complete the interest form if you would like to volunteer for this event.
