Another summer… Another fantastic transformative experience for rising high school juniors in Marin and Sonoma Counties participating in 10,000 Degrees College Access programs. We call them Summer Intensives for a reason!

Over four four-day stints in late July and early August at two separate college campuses, San Francisco State University and St. Mary’s College, 10,000 Degrees staff and College Ambassadors guided more than 240 students through a very hands-on and personalized college prep program, including workshops focused on crafting personal statements for college applications, managing personal finances and budgeting, and many others, plus multiple fun and informative team-building exercises!

In addition to familiarizing high school juniors with the feeling of being a college student, this unique shared experience builds lasting friendships and, in turn, support from fellow Summer Intensive participants, including near-peer support from 10,000 Degrees staff.
