16 Oct Cakes Spark Wild Frenzy
While the rain poured down on the new Saralee and Richard’s Barn at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds, the hearts and minds of all in attendance opened wide thanks to several stirring moments at our recent 10,000 Degrees of Opportunity Gala. One in particular was provided by College Access Manager for Sonoma County, Christopher Gonzalez, who led a fun “interactivity” similar to what students experience at 10,000 Degrees high school orientations. Founders Award recipient, Katie Jackson, shared her experience with 10,000 Degrees and expressed her motivation to continue to help support low-income students. Gala Committee Co-Chairs, Pam Chanter and Steve Page were honored as well. Together we raised over $325,000 to help more low-income students pursue their dreams of earning a college degree. Thank you!
