March 2, 2017, is an important deadline for students working with 10,000 Degrees, including three different opportunities to secure funding for college: the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), the California Dream Act, and the 10,000 Degrees Scholarship. FAFSA, through the U.S. Department of Education, offers more than $150 billion each year to help millions of students pay for college. The California Dream Act Application allows students currently enrolled in California colleges who were brought into the United States under the age of 16 without proper visas or immigration documentation access to state financial aid. The 10,000 Degrees Scholarship application is open to all students and does not require a GPA minimum. For fiscal year 2017, 10,000 Degrees awarded $2.8 million in total scholarships
