Intense Experience for Students

The entire 10,000 Degrees College Access team is busy preparing for our incredible Summer Intensive experience! This summer 10,000 Degrees will host over 250 rising high school juniors over a four day period at local college campuses. Students will spend three nights on campus, getting a real feel for what their lives will be like at college in the not-too-distant future. It’s both informative and inspiring!

This year’s Summer Intensive features four total sessions, including two hosted at San Francisco State University and two hosted at St. Mary’s College. Run concurrently on both campuses, Session One takes place July 24-27, and Session Two takes place July 31-August 3.

The 10,000 Degrees Summer Intensive serves as a powerful introduction to our programming for our rising high school juniors and helps them see and feel what their futures can be. At the same time, this shared experience builds lasting friendships and, in turn, support, including near-peer support from our staff, available any time as they navigate their own unique pathways to a college education.
