18 Mar To 10,000 Degrees Students
Dear 10,000 Degrees students:
10,000 Degrees is committed to ensuring that all students, staff, volunteers, and community are healthy, safe, and supported. We know that school and campus closures can raise anxiety, but that this is a necessary and proactive step to help keep you and our community safe and to reduce the spread of the virus. We believe that our healthcare workers are doing everything in their power to help us through this crisis, and that we must do what we can to help.
To this end, 10,000 Degrees will be implementing the following:
- Available despite closing all 10,000 Degrees offices. Staff are working to remain available and continue to provide support. They will be proactively reaching out to you through text, phone, Google Hangouts, and more.
- All 10,000 Degrees staff are working from home. All 10,000 Degrees staff are now required to work remotely from home from through April 7.
- All 10,000 Degrees gatherings and meetings are canceled now through April 7. We will update you in the coming week if any future meetings are canceled or are rescheduled to occur online.
We know this is weighing heavily on your minds and hearts right now, so know this:
We are here for you. As you face uncertainty now and perhaps even throughout the spring term, our teams will continue to work hard to do everything in their power to provide you with remote, virtual support around education needs, food insecurity, financial aid, student loans, housing, college acceptances, scholarships, and so much more. Our teams are researching how they can best support you and your education off campus, as well as in your off-campus life. More information to come.
We encourage you to stay healthy and well. Please do everything you can to keep yourself and your loved ones healthy and well. See below this letter for helpful tips and resources.
We will continue to support you. We understand that this is a difficult and stressful time full of many unknowns. However, please know that your 10,000 Degrees team and our incredible community of supporters will continue to stand by your side. We believe in you, and will work tirelessly to ensure that you have a bright and successful future ahead of you.
The 10,000 Degrees community is resilient and strong. Through it all, we remain steadfastly committed to helping you and all of our students in any way we can. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or anyone on the 10,000 Degree team if you have any questions or concerns – we’re here for you, any time, all the time.
Stay safe, healthy and well.
With love,
