22 May Italian Chef Deborah Dal Fovo Hosts Online Cooking Class and Scholarship Fundraiser: “Handmade Flour + Water Pasta Workshop”
Workshop to Help Raise Funds for 10,000 Degrees Student Scholarship Program
What: Learn to make handmade pasta shapes while supporting a good cause by joining Italian Chef Deborah Dal Fovo’s “Handmade Flour + Water Pasta Workshop.” During the live-stream interactive workshop, Chef Dal Fovo will teach participants how to measure, mix, and knead pasta dough into a variety of interesting shapes (all made by hand with no rolling machine or special equipment needed).
Joining Chef Dal Fovo in the virtual kitchen will be 10,000 Degrees alumni and staff who will share more details about the organization’s college success programming. 10,000 Degrees supports Bay Area students from low-income backgrounds to and through college with comprehensive wraparound support, college and financial aid counseling, near-peer coaching, scholarships, financial aid management, and career opportunities.
Tickets are $50, and include a live lesson, ingredient list/recipe, and a link to the class video to view later. Funds raised will help support academic scholarships for 10,000 Degrees students.
