Types of Financial Aid

What are the different types of Financial Aid?

Gift Aid

Money awarded to a student that does not need to be paid back.

Examples: Pell Grant, Cal Grant, 10,000 Degrees Scholarships

Work Study

Money a student can earn through a campus job. They must work to receive the money.

Examples: A job at the library or the bookstore

Loans

Borrowed money that DOES need to get paid back after graduating.

Examples: Subsidized and unsubsidized loans, Parent Plus Loan, Dream Loan

Once students have submitted their FAFSA or CADAA, they can apply for the 10,000 Degrees Scholarship.
